Hi, my name is Amy Turner. I have been creating bath and body products off and on since 2001. I decided to do it at first for my family and friends as gifts. I then had a salon approach me and asked if they could make some custom soaps for their salon back in 2015. I then decided it was time to do this full time. What I do is not only a creative and therapeutic outlet for me but it helps myself and others by knowing what goes into our products.
I was diagnosed with Lupus and Multi Chemical Sensitivity back in 2015. My doctor said I had to make a switch to more natural type products. I used some items from major retail healthfood stores and they helped but it was getting to be expensive for me to buy for my family. Plus my youngest son was diagnosed with Celiac disease when he was 6. He just turned 14 this year (2019). Being that he has that I have to make sure everything he uses is free of wheat and gluten. With the autoimmune issues my children and I have, especially Eczema I figured it was time to buckle down and venture on my own. So I gave it more a go. Starting out small with simple stuff like soaps and scrubs. Then as time went on I ventured out even more into my diverse variety of products.
I am extremely grateful to be where I am today and to have all the customers, friends and family give me such positive feedback and encouragement when it comes to my products. I couldn't have done it without them.
I use this as a main hobby right now and I one day hope to own my own brick & mortar shop but for now it is my art therapy plus I use this to help my kids with art therapy and to help earn credits and learn new things with their homeschooling. I do not make a profit off of what I do right now. I only charge for cost of materials so I can create or my kids can create more things.
